The West Elk Bicycle Classic covers country that should be felt up close, like on a bicycle.
Do you want a shorter ride on a most beautiful road? Try our 34-46 mi route on the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
Do you want something a little longer? With some gravel? Try our 52 mile Raghorn loop.
Do you want a lot of gravel? Try our 100mile loop extension of the Raghorn loop with about 66 mi of lung ripping gravel.
And the original 134 mi loop that connects all three of these great rides together for the more seasoned cyclist.

Are you looking for a new challenge this summer? Register for the 5th Annual Frisco Triathlon on Saturday, July 14, 2018 featuring stand-up-paddle boarding, mountain biking and trail running. This twist on a triathlon is open to all ability levels and encourages athletes to take on a new multi-sport event. The Frisco Triathlon was named “Best Triathlon” in Elevation Outdoors Magazine’s reader poll, 2016 Best of the Rockies.
Although the air will be noticeably thin at the starting line, Echo Lake’s 10,600 feet of elevation is just the beginning. The climb totals nearly 4,000 vertical feet – much of it above treeline – as you make your way 14.5 miles to the finish line located at the summit of one of the most recognizable peaks on Denver’s mountain skyline – 14,264 foot Mt. Evans.
Join us on June 9, 2018 for another memorable run.
Spectators will include Bighorn Sheep, Marmots, and Mountain Goats – maybe even a few people!!!
Bundle up and get ready to RUN and/or RIDE Colorado’s best mixed terrain. Riders – choose 50km or 100km of dirt, snow, sweat, and beer rolling through the world-famous cycling mecca of Boulder County. Runners can crush the 5.4-mile run course, a fast, flat “Best of Lyons” tour, that integrates singletrack trails, red rock canyon, and gravel paths. Everybody gets luxury aid stations with real food and hydration, a hot meal and a cold beer at the finish line, and a killer post-ride party with great music, a fire pit, and a massive raffle.
